  7. Dr Nabar has nabbed (2 down) a s(-p)ouse for a 2 down having used a 12 across, got into a 13 across mood and 14 across. Was left 26 across for being 25 across.Being 21 across, went into 27 across !Got a 7 down . Did a 17 down and got 20 down ! Got a 23 down and found oneself in 8 down and as it was a 6 down ! Couldn't withstand the 22 across from the 17 down !! Went into a 20 across silence.

Stuff and core for a nice theme for a 18 across of a novel !!

  9. Loved 11A and 21D.

In 1D, the definition leans on the wordplay but is not the wordplay itself, as an &lit clue would demand.
    Does it constitute an &lit?

Would like some thoughts on this :)

    1. Thanks Srivathsan!

I think it should be defined as semi-&lit. The whole sentence eventually defines Splint but 'needs this' is extra. So not pure &lit. Similar to Salvo. This was my interpretation while making the clue.
