    I woke up late as it's supposedly a Bandh day here in Bengaluru (everything seems to be running though) tussled with today's CW, didn't manage to finish it by my deadline, that's why you see no images or cartoons, not that I was in the mood seeing the fare offered today.

    @Colonel, I had it as PROSPER for a long time meaning 'rise eventually' which I couldn't fit with the wordplay at all.

    Eventually(!) it dawned that eventually might be an AInd.

    Deepak, the Bandh had the opposite effect on me. My son had an industrial visit from his college. He checked this morning and they said it was on. However, no buses were running (!) and I took him to the college only to hear that it was off since the bus was not coming and the resultant ride back. No buses at all on my route in the one hour we spent on the road.

    So, my CW too experienced a bundh. Now to put pen to paper...

    xanthus - where in the world is this? only because it starts from x i presume its in china.
    I also could not understand what is a potato doing in a stocking?
    how many days left?
    Probably someone wanted to test the resilience of the solvers...i presume..how could u justify airdrome other than this.
