  2. George & Bhavan,
Can you give me the reference from where you got CONGO Tea?

  3. Both Wiki pages of TEA as well as BLACK TEA do not speak of any CONGO Tea so where did you'll get it from?

  4. Congo:Black tea grown in China (WordWeb Dictionary)

  5. Colonel I was using wordweb, which lists Congo as "Black tea grown in China". Alternate spelling CONGOU.

  6. 20 D: ALSO-RAN is supposed to be hyphenated

  7. Good morning, Col

Was wondering why the blog was not up by 8-30 am. I was keeping a watch on the visitors' tally in the meantime. The number kept going up feverishly at the appointed time.

A few good clues. I could not get 25A either.

    13A - Your anno should perhaps be {CLIN(-et) (IC} ?

22a - AMBEDKAR was a smart one. The clue seems OK with deletion of a D, if it stands for 'duvet'.

But I filled a good number of squares by sheer guesswork. And, pronto, it worked !

  9. I missed mentioning ALSO-RAN, which should be hyphenated, as pointed out by Sandhya.

  13. Looks like all is quiet on the crossword-solving front.

    Could we have some diversion?

Late last evening, Shuchi made a very interesting observation, which may have been missed by some regular visitors here.

Can someone pick from where the discussion was left? Here is the fag-end of the last night’s comment line-up:

Somehow, whenever I visit Colonel's blog and open a post with a big comment count, I find the trailing end of comments discussing food!

Get going. Hope the Colonel won’t mind, as long as the points are crisp and spicy.

  15. 19 - Hard rubber at the tip of an elastic piece is over on the string (7) {E}{B{ON}ITE} ?? Perhaps a typo, where String is supposed to be Sting , which means BITE .
