  2. Pammechu,
I started this with NJ's first CW of this round when I saw so many black (blocked out) squares in the CW I think almost 50% were black that day. Chaturvasi would be able to give us the exact significance of having too many black squares.

  3. NJ truly takes the cake today. No joy in solving this, although I got most of the words.

Yesterday was a great day in comparison.

  5. Colonel, Yesterday must have been some kind of record in terms of number of comments. Do you have a statistic on this?

  6. Hi Suresh,
I don't maintain any statistics but I can check the archive and see if and when there were more comments

  7. Suresh,
The record for comments goes to NJ we had 25 yesterday and 25 on 30 Sep both being NJ's, CW's. I did get 27 comments on Sankalak's puzzle on 24 Sep but that was mainly discussion between those who follow my blog as I did not post at 8:30 AM that day as I was travelling, so they cannot be considered as comments

  9. Svemuri,
Maybe correct, but then how do we relate 'A' to 'good'

    ReplyDelete
  10. Actually NJ in the past also has given articles in French, Spanish etc without any indicator

    ReplyDelete
  11. Col Sir,
    A is for advantage
    see at http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/advantage

    ReplyDelete
  12. Svemuri,
Still, 'Good' and 'Advantage' have very little in common

    ReplyDelete
  13. A could be regarded as good in the sense of getting an A in a subject etc. In that sense I think svemuri's explanation may be possible. However to know what the setter intended needs a look into the mind on NJ, which we are not able to do
