  1. 4d and 9d were unusually short clues and could only be solved/confirmed via the crossings. Also found 8d quite straighforward for a CD/DD clue. Any thoughts?

    By sheer fluke, I bumped into your blog. I am a keen follower of The Hindu crossword for some years. I manage solving all clues on some days. But many a time they leave me 'clueless'. Your comments on the inconsistencies are very apt. Keep up your good work, Sir ! Now on, I will be a fan of your blog too.
