  1. 26a seems to be wrong. It should be REMIT, I think?
    One wielding clock = TIMER
    returns = reverse indicator
    So, {TIMER}<= should give REMIT?

    It is also in accordance with the clues 16d, 17d and 3d (with TIMER those answers wouldn't fit properly)
